From the beginning in 1992 we raced only Group C cars
with the notable exception of Kajos "Ferrari F40".
The cars were technically very much original Scalextric Porsches, Sauber-Mercedes and Jaguar. The visual appearance was another matter, the Porsches were used to make other, previously unknown C-cars, such as Ferrari and Renault...
...and Fromell-Chevrolets, seen here flanking a Ford from the now gone VTCC (Väster Touring Car Championship) series. As you can see, both Group C-cars are based on Scalextric´s Porsche 962C, but lowered and partly reshaped.
Mårten´s Renault R35C in the lead att Mollberg Ring, in front of the Ferrari C93B/2 of Johan, the 962 of Tony and a hard carging Kajo.
Per´s Alfa Romeo T33/4 (yet another previously unseen make in Group C) chased by Tony´s Porsche 962C, at the Malmgatan Autodrom.
By 1995 Johan´s Ferrari replacement, C94, was a consistent winner. Here he´s leading in front of Tony´s evergreen Porsche 962 and Kajos Jaguar XJR9. The final race of the 1993 season had been an occasion of celebration. Finally the "Kajo-Ferrari F40" was scraped!
