Vinkelring
(vinkel = angle, because of itīs shape and the owners adress) was constructed
late in 1992 by Bengt Ström, who is also technical director of SRSoWÖ,
and famous for his notouriously bent rear axles. It was intended to be the
perfect mix of the long sweeping corners of Gustavsgatan Raceway and the
long straight of Mollberg Ring. It was an immediate success and fullfilled
all expectations. As a bonus its track layout snug fits 15 meter of 4-lane
track into only two boards. Another ingenious feature is an extra piece
which can prolong the main straights to over five meters each. |
